2023 Goals and a telemedicine pilot!

Goodbye 2022, Hello 2023!

We end our year with a new partner community, a fully operational clinic in Villa Verde, continued support in Haiti, successful life-changing operations and more!

 

Jerusalem, Haiti

2022 was the most difficult year in Haiti thus far. While there weren’t any trips due to the dangerous conditions, CE continued operations under the leadership of Dr. Fiquita In 2023, our goal is to:

  • Continue funding clinic operations and staff salaries so patients can receive care

  • Support Le Fleur’s Orphanage

 
 

Surgery Program

In 2022, the surgical teams performed 370 surgeries across seven specialties - an 85% increase! In 2023, our goal is to:

  • Match or exceed the number of performed surgeries

  • Optimize surgical outcome data collection and analysis for better post-op care and education

  • Enhance post-op surveys by specialty

Duquesa, DR

Duquesa is our newest partner community. We’ve partnered with a local organization that has built strong relationships. Our first primary care trip saw 300 patients! In 2023, we plan to:

  • See over 1,500 patients over the course of five medical trips

  • Install a water filtration system

  • Conduct a needs assessment to build sustainable care

  • Launch a family planning & STD prevention program, including education and contraception

 
 

Villa Verde, DR

Thanks to strong community leadership, Villa Verde is rapidly approaching self-sufficiency. The new clinic is finished and the water system is nearly complete. In 2023, we plan to:

  • Complete transfer of clinic operations to Movimiento Comunication Unido por VIlla Verde

  • Complete construction of water filtration system and point-of-sale building

  • Address chronic disease prevention and treatment
